What Is Rise & Thrive?
Rise & Thrive is Innova Academy’s framework for supporting character development through emotional intelligence. It gives scholars opportunities to manage emotions effectively, build and sustain healthy relationships, resolve conflicts constructively, and grow through accountability and compassion.
How It Supports Middle School
Growing Through the Middle School Years
Middle school is a time of significant change. Scholars are developing their identities, navigating relationships, facing new challenges, and learning how to advocate for themselves.
Rise & Thrive provides space for scholars to reflect, communicate, build confidence, practice resilience, and develop strong character as they navigate early adolescence.

Rise & Thrive is woven into the scholar experience through Homeroom Advisory, restorative practices, reflection, relationship-building, and everyday learning experiences. Scholars practice the NOVA Powers as they navigate challenges, work with others, advocate for themselves, and recognize their growth.
