Anteria draws on over 15 years of experience across elementary, middle, and high school education to understand what she calls “the life of a student.” As a teacher, instructional coach, and Dean of Students, she observed how a students’ joy in learning often fades over time, especially during the middle school years. Recognizing a decline in motivation and purpose. She saw this most deeply among Black and Brown male students, whose strengths and talents were often overshadowed by systemic barriers limiting their opportunities to thrive. Recognizing these challenges begin earlier than high school, Anteria became committed to changing the narrative for her students and reimagining education through a model that blends joy, play, and learning. Aiming to re-engage students during their most critical developmental years.
