Innova Academy is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and student-focused Special Education Teacher to join our founding team. This role is responsible for providing individualized instruction, fostering inclusive learning environments, and ensuring that students with diverse learning needs receive the support necessary to achieve academic, social, and emotional success.

As a founding educator, you'll collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to develop personalized learning experiences that empower every scholar to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

• Provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff.

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.

• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.

• Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth.

• Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.

• Participate in IEP meetings, professional learning, and school initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.

• Valid Special Education teaching license or eligibility for certification.

• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education best practices.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

• Passion for creating equitable learning opportunities for all students.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting middle school students.

• Knowledge of inclusive instructional practices and accommodations.

• Familiarity with Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) strategies.

• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
